Theobald Selected to Manage AAFP's First CME Podcast

November 3, 2006 - Mary Theobald has been selected to write and produce the AAFP's first CME podcast, which will help physicians treat patients who are overweight and obese.

The hour-long podcast for family physicians and their practice teams will include evidence-based strategies for overcoming patient resistance to healthy lifestyle changes and practical tips on maximizing payment for treatment and management of conditions related to overweight and obesity.

The podcast will launch in February, 2008.

Theobald to Create Resources for Healthy Communities Collaborative^TM

January 15, 2011 - Mary Theobald has been hired to create a series of toolkits to be used in a unique performance improvement project to help family physicians enhance the case they provide to patients with cardiovascular disease. The toolkits will offer how-to-information, links to resources and exercises on:

Performance Measurement: Using Data to Improve
Team Development
Patient-Centered Practice Redesign
Leadership & Change Management
QI Coaching

The toolkits will be integrated into a Healthy Communities Collaborative^TM curriculum modeled after the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Breakthrough Series Collaborative. The project will launch in the fall of 2011 in 32 family medicine practices in Indiana and Wisconsin. Read the press release...
